Seven Seeds Farm

Don Tipping of Seven of Seeds Farm has been farming since 1995. Don lives at Seven Seeds in Williams with his wife Kimberly and their son.
He is one of the founding members of the Siskiyou Sustainable Cooperative and acted as the first board president for SSC.
He grew up in California and studied Religion at UCDavis. Don and his wife Kimberly designed Seven Seeds to be a multi-faceted farm system. They grow vegetable seed crops on contract for three seed companies, raise animals (chickens for egg
production and sheep for meat), vegetables and fruits for the CSA and two growers markets, and are creating a perennial food forest
with many fruit and nut bearing trees and shrubs. Don also spends time teaching people about farming. He offers classes in basic permaculture and bio-dynamic agriculture, writes articles for publications including the Permculture Activist, and mentors new seed growers through a SARE (Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education) grant.
